All about Norman Island

The anchorage at the Caves, Treasure Point, Norman Island

Its appropriate that the "Pirate Ship" William Thornton is anchored at Norman Island, as this is believed to be the fabled site of "Long John" Silver's treasure trove as chronicled in Robert Louis Stevenson's book, Treasure Island. There are treasure seekers still planning, plotting and turning over stones on Norman Island, on the off chance that, as so often occurs, fact and fiction blur and blend.

The Willie T is open for both lunch and dinner, but the bar at the stern is the "jumping" place in the evenings, but then again, it is Norman Island's only night spot. Ask the bartenders about "Body Shots," and the Shotski!

Among the attractions on or near Norman Island are the Caves for snorkeling, and The Indians, several pinnacle rocks sticking out of the water just off Pelican Cay, a dynamite site for a dive or a snorkeling. Perhaps the fabled site of "Long John" Silver's treasure trove is right here!
